
Jeff Dunas is a renowned photographer, well-known for his nude photography and work for magazines such as Penthouse and Playboy starting in the 1970s. A dedicated user of Leica cameras since the early eighties, he particularly values the M9 Monochrome for his black and white work. Dunas is the co-founder of the Palm Springs Photo Festival, which he ran for 17 years, pioneering a portfolio review program he considered a "job fair" for photographers seeking work and career advancement. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he utilized his extensive archive to create several photo books, including Highway 61 to Honeyboy with publisher Nara and a Renaissance garden book, and he continues to host the Palm Springs Photo Festival podcast. He is also the author of the Aperture book State of the Blues.
